Translation start:

Marx: You haven’t come for me since then.

Belka: This is the umpteenth time I’ve said it … but I didn’t accept that order. /

Marx: Really? /

But my heart has already been pierced through by you.

Belka: What … ?

Marx: Belka, marry me. Here’s an oath ring. /

Belka: P-prince Marx … /

Marx: You were abandoned by your parents. If that wound still throbs, then perhaps I can become the salve that heals it.

I want to cultivate love with you as a pair. I’ve  been thinking so.

Belka: I appreciate your feelings. /

But I am a person who is known for killing as their trade … I can’t become a queen of Anya Kingdom … /

Marx: That’s exactly why it would be good.

Belka: What?

Marx: If it isn’t somebody who knows darkness just as well as they do the light, then they are not fit for the role of Queen of Anya Kingdom. /

Belka: ………… /

Marx: What’s wrong? I’m waiting for your response. /

Belka: I don’t know …

It’s just here … inside my bosom, I feel something leaping … /

Not in a bad way … it’s very a good feeling … my heart is leaping … /

………… /…………

Prince Marx … I’d like to ask you one thing … /

If were to become your wife … /

If you were to be cornered in a situation where you had to kill me to protect the country … would you kill me then?

… Yes. / …

Belka: … Good. So it was an unnecessary worry. /

Well then, Prince Marx … I shall expect your proposal for marriage with delight. /

Marx: Thank you. I’m very happy about that.

Let’s get straight to it and go to the slums. /

Belka: To the slums. No, that’s all wrong. /

That’s not a place you belong in …

Marx: I want to know all about you.

So as a first step I want to go to the place where you were born, where you were raised. /

Belka: … Okay. … But, don’t be too shocked. /

Marx: I’m not going to budge, not matter what happens. After all, it is the homeland where my important one grew up.

Translation end!

Translation notes: Well, this is one the more “unique” marriage proposals among all the support conversations. Marx really is that emotionless in the Japanese. I tried my best to be accurate to his lack of sentimentality. Is there something I could change for the better? Let me know in the comments below.

If you want to see how Nintendo changed this conversation quite a bit, the Fire Emblem fans at Serene’s Forest have transcribed it here.
