Translation start:

Aqua: Urgh … there we go. / アクア: よいしょ…っと。

Phew, should take a little break … it’s no wonder I’m tired, didn’t think there’d be so much. / ふう。少し休憩しましょ…この量は、さすがに疲れたわ。

Ryoma: …Aqua? What are you doing here all alone?/ リョウマ: …アクア?一人で何をしているんだ?

Aqua: Ryoma. I- I’m not doing anything all that special … / アクア: リョウマ。い、いえ、別に私は何も…

Ryoma: Moving around weapons pack by pack? You can’t say this isn’t “anything special.” /  リョウマ: 何も、じゃないだろう。武具を幾つも運んでいるじゃないか。

That kind of heavy work’s impossible for one girl. But don’t worry about it. Leave it to me. / そんな重労働、女一人の力では無理だ。いいから少し俺によこすんだ。

Aqua: Uh… / アクア: あ…

Ryoma: Ack! This is surprisingly heavy. But this is nothing … / リョウマ: むっ…意外に重いな。だが、何てことはない…

I’ve got it. I’ll get the greater half. Aqua, you do those lighter ones. / よし、これで半分以上、俺が運んでやる。アクアはそっちの軽いものを頼む。

Aqua: T-thanks … / アクア: あ、ありがとう…

Ryoma: Which makes me wonder … what made you think to transport all this by yourself? / リョウマ: それにしても…こんな量、なぜ一人で運ぼうと思ったんだ。

Why not ask us? After all, we’re your comrades, no … your family. / なぜ俺たち仲間に…いや、俺たち家族に頼ろうとしなかったんだ?

Aqua: I simply thought I could move it all by myself. / アクア: 一人で運べる量だと思ったのよ。

And well … once I’ve started something on my own, I tend to be reticent to ask others for help. / それに…途中で誰かに助けを求めるのも、なんとなく言い辛くて。

Ryoma: For real? … I suppose you’ve always been like that. / リョウマ: まったく…お前は昔からそうだな。

But from now on, if you find yourself in that kind of situation, I want you to call me without hesitation. / だが、これからそういうことがあれば、遠慮せず俺を呼べ。

Come on, you’re my little my sister. We’re family! Your big brother’s always going help you out. / お前は俺の妹だからな。兄として、必ず助けてやるさ。

Aqua: Ryoma … thanks. /  アクア: リョウマ…ありがとう。

But you don’t need to worry about it. Next time, you’ll see that I’ve got it all done without help. / でも、気にしなくて大丈夫よ。次からは、上手くやってみせるから。

Ryoma: … Ah! There she goes. / リョウマ: …はぁ。行ってしまったか。

Always that same hesitation around me, she hasn’t changed at all. / あいつが俺に遠慮するのは、昔から変わらないな。

But … I know. Why not take this as a chance to get her to be closer to me? I’ve got to think of a way / だが…そうだな。これを機会にもう少し親交を深めていけるよう、考えてみるか…

Translation end!

Translation notes: Ryoma is trying to remind Aqua that she’s family, and so for people who know some Japanese, you may be wondering why I put “We’re family,” in that one line. It’s because it’s heavily, heavily implied by the grammatical construction that comes in the sentence afterward, so in order to translate that nuance, I added that phrase. Have some suggestions to make this better? Let me in the comments below!

If you want to see how Nintendo’s translation removed the familial theme, the Fire Emblem fans at Serene’s Forest have transcribed this conversation here.

Changelog: 8/19/2016 Some typos were corrected and some sentences changed to read more naturally. As no honorifics were used, sentences have not needed to be updated for that. Where the meaning differs, the unedited version 1.0 lines can be read below:

Ryoma: Moving around weapons pack by pack? You can’t call this “not anything special.”

Ryoma: Come on, you’re my little my sister. We’re family! Your brother’s always going help you out.
