Please Note: The following material obviously spoils some of the story of Fire Emblem Fates. Please read responsibly at your own risk and shine on, you crazy diamond.
Edited to version 2.0 with reader feedback. (You can find the original version replicated below.) Here’s the support conversation between Kazahana and Saizou for the B level. (Original Japanese is included for reference and better transparency.)

Kazahana: Aha, I found you! Saizou! Saizoooou! /
Saizou: What is it now, Kazahana? You don’t have to blare it out over and over again for me to hear you.
Kazahana: That food from the other day … uhh, ninja rations was it?
Might I have another?
Saizou: What … you liked it that much?
I thought I told you that I only use them because they fill me up and are easy to pack, /
And there’s absolutely no attempt on my part to make them tasty… /
Kazahana: No? Really? I absolutely love the way it melts in my mouth, and the gourmet flavor! /
It’s got the lovely soft texture of sweet rice cake, and it even tastes a little like fish, and …
Saizou: All I do is use sweet rice paste and mix in a few crushed fish parts … /
I have to admit these rations aren’t something I really think about making delicious. /
Kazahana: Are you serious? But they’re so tasty … /
Saizou: You’re the first, not even the guys in the ninja village have ever said that.
Kazahana: Are every ninja’s taste buds defective or something? Next time you ought to try letting some other people have a taste! /
Saizou: I don’t think that would be such a hot idea … /
Kazahana: I’m telling you, they’ll love it!
If you were to keep these tasty treats all to yourself, it’d be enough to make me to hold a grudge against you.
So come on, cough up another one, like you did last time. Pleeeease! /
Saizou: Okay, okay … here, the last one. /
Kazahana: Yes! Thank yooouu! Next time I see you, I’ll have a little something to show my gratitude, Saizou. /
Saizou: Phew … /
Jeez … every time I’m with her … she gets me all worked up …
Translation notes: The same dynamic is at work in this conversation. The way I interpret it, Saizou’s trying to play it cool, like his image of a cold-blooded ninja and Kazahana is melting through his defenses. He doesn’t want to be seen as a good cook or a caring person, but you’ll find out in the later conversations that there may be a little more to his preparation of these tasty treats, so I tried to keep those aspects in, as the Japanese constantly hints on it.
Can I use mochi? I feel like some English speakers know what mochi is. Let me know what criticisms or comments you have below.
